I configured alfresco 2.0 CIFS on a Ubuntu machine and I don't know why CIFS is not indexing the text files content which I copy to the CIFS shared folder. Any idea?
Due to alfresco does not recognise the extension of the file it recognises the file as a octet stream. To get the indexing working you just need to add the extension in the /opt/Alfresco/tomcat/webapps/alfresco/WEB-INF/classes/alfresco/mimetype/mimetype-map.xml and that is enough.
