CIFS Configuration 3.2r

I'm really new to Alfresco, and have been asked to set it up for a client.  I've read the documentation about how to set up CIFS in the configuration files, which I've done, but I have no idea how to then access the CIFS share, because the documentation doesn't mention it at all.

Does anyone have any help for me here?

Best,

Hi choffman,

Where Alfresco is running? Windows, Linux, Mac…? Suppose that alfresco is installed on a Windows system. If you have properly configured Alfresco CIFS (default settings), so you can try:

Windows client - Start\Run:
\\nameofyourhostA\alfresco

Linux client - command:
smbclient \\\\nameofyourhostA\\alfresco -p 139 -U admin

Hi,
If Alfresco is installed in windows server.
I faced problem like, it is  keep popping up username and password dialog, I found it is conflicting with windows printer and file sharing service (Don't know why) so you can try by uninstalling printer and file sharing service when you are accessing by windows client.

I got it working when I uninstalled windows printer and file sharing service

Thanks
