change IP

Hi,

I'm searching for information on changing the IP address of the windows box that alfresco is running on - and of course alfresco.
The only thing I found is how to change the default port (https://forums.alfresco.com/en/viewtopic.php?t=14121); btw, is this 'the' way to go and is it also possible to change the IP?

Alfresco, or rather tomcat, does not bind/listen to a specific ip-adress. Just change the ip-adress for your windows box and restart.

That said, you can get certain interfaces like cifs,ftp and imap to listen to specific ip-adresses.

No need to do that unless you have multiple network interfaces.

Hi Loftux, thank you for your reply: it worked like a charm. Now I'm trying to change the port to 80 instead of 8080 but have broken into another thread which handles this issue.
