cannot copy from MyFiles to Repository

As an administrator I created a file under MyFiles and then tried to copy that file into the Repository.

What happens is that a copy of the file is created under MyFiles instead of it being copied to the Repository.

Am I doing this wrong?

The Administrator doesn't have a user home folder so from an Admin point of view "My Files" is the repository.

That is not correct from what I'm seeing.

When I look in the Repository under User Homes I see an entry for 'administrator' which is the Domain Administrators user home.  I can see the files I created under My Files in there as well.

When I try to copy any of the files in My Files to somewhere else in the Repository, it brings up a windows to allow you to navigate to where you want to copy the file but when I click on Repository it doesn't open up and show any subfolders.  And if you just copy to 'Repository' it creates a 'copy of' file back in My Files.

Ah… ok, you mean you created a new user that is an administrator (as opposed to the default "admin" user). In that case this could well be a bug that you should raise at http://issues.alfresco.com

I didn't create any user.

I just setup NTLM auth and then logged in as Domain Administrator.

The system knows you are an administrator because you get all the admin stuff.

But it also creates a userhome account for administrator and puts My Files files under it.  But it also prevents you from copying My Files content anywhere under Repository.

I'll raise an issue on it.
