Cannot connect to CIFS share of 3.4.c CE from OS X 10.6

Hi!

CIFS connection to Alfresco share from a Windows XP works very well. It also works very well using smbclient in a Linux or OS X command line window. But it does not work if I try to connect from OS X GUI. It will let me choose the share name and enter username/password and then it just hangs there.

Catalina.out displays the following:

MySQL database is using UTF-8, so it is probably my Mac using a different characater encoding. Anybody else seen this?
