User Search Does Not Work In Alfresco

Hello,

I deployed Alfresco Community Edition using the official Docker Compose setup.

The deployment starts successfully and the repository appears to work. I can authenticate as admin, manage groups, and the REST API returns users correctly:

GET /alfresco/api/-default-/public/alfresco/versions/1/people

However, in Share Admin Tools → Users, the user list fails to load and displays “Error loading items”. Groups management works correctly.  Also, the user search is running forever. See the attached images for the error.

Please let me know if any workaround is available.

This is unfortunately a long-standing bug in the Alfresco Share distribution which includes configuration out-of-the-box meant for Enterprise edition, and which causes a failure in Community. Please see https://github.com/Alfresco/acs-community-packaging/issues/367#issuecomment-853122824 for a way to solve this.
