On May 22, 2026, Hyland Alfresco product documentation from Docs.Alfresco.com and Support.Hyland.com will consolidate into a unified experience at Docs.Hyland.com.
This change is part of a broader effort to simplify and better connect the Hyland digital ecosystem, making it easier for customers, partners, developers and Hylanders to find and navigate documentation across products and platforms.
For Alfresco users specifically, we recognize this transition may feel more visible than it does for some other product communities. Historically, Alfresco documentation and developer resources have existed across multiple locations, including Docs.Alfresco.com, Support.Hyland.com and GitHub. This update is intended to reduce fragmentation while continuing to support the workflows the Alfresco community relies on today.
As part of this transition:
Product documentation from Docs.Alfresco.com is moving to Docs.Hyland.com
Documentation currently hosted on Support.Hyland.com is also consolidating into Docs.Hyland.com
Existing URLs from both sites will redirect to the updated documentation experience
Users may notice changes to navigation, search behavior, filtering and URL structure
Although the public destination will be Docs.Hyland.com, the underlying publishing and delivery experience is also changing as documentation is consolidated into a shared Fluid Topics platform environment.
Because of this, some links and bookmarks may route differently after launch, even when redirects are in place.
Several important workflows and capabilities will remain available after the transition.
GitHub repositories and developer contribution workflows are not being removed.
The Alfresco Documentation Repository and related open-source development workflows will continue to exist and remain an important part of the Alfresco ecosystem.
This effort is intended to simplify product documentation access — not centralize all developer activity into a single platform.
The updated Docs.Hyland.com experience will continue supporting functionality currently available within Support.Hyland.com, including:
Saved and bookmarked content
PDF generation capabilities
This transition is primarily an operational and ecosystem alignment initiative focused on long-term sustainability, consistency and supportability across Hyland’s digital platforms.
Key drivers include:
Centralizing Hyland product documentation into a unified experience
Reducing fragmentation across documentation systems
Improving platform governance and long-term maintainability
Aligning documentation experiences across the broader Hyland ecosystem
This is not intended to fundamentally redefine how developers work with Alfresco documentation or open-source repositories.
After May 22, users should expect:
Updated URLs and navigation patterns
Differences in search and filtering behavior
A more connected cross-product documentation experience
Redirects from legacy documentation URLs
Continued access to GitHub-based developer workflows
We strongly encourage customers, partners and Hylanders to begin updating bookmarks, onboarding materials and direct documentation references to Docs.Hyland.com where possible.
Redirects from Docs.Alfresco.com and Support.Hyland.com documentation pages are expected to remain in place for up to two years to help maintain continuity during the transition.
However, because multiple legacy structures are being consolidated simultaneously, some redirects may route users into updated navigation paths rather than identical page layouts.
This documentation consolidation is one milestone within the broader Digital Experience Alignment initiative taking place throughout 2026.
Additional improvements across support, documentation and community experiences will continue over time as Hyland works to create a more connected and intuitive digital ecosystem.
Thank you to the Alfresco community, customers, partners and Hylanders for your continued feedback and support throughout this transition.
