Can't connect CIF's on Windows 7

I had Alfresco running on a Windows XP with CIFS working fine. Recently i have moved to a Windows 7 professional and I can't connect to CIFS and i can't even ping AlfrescoServerA.

I have followed the instructions on http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/File_Server_Configuration#Vista_And_Windows_2008 but nothing seams to work and the alfresco server A is not visible. Any ideias ?


Any help would be welcome.

Also I would like to ask if its possible to access CIFS using the machine IP adress rather than the Netbios name for the Alfrescoserver.
