Breadcrumbs

Hi All.

Does anybody know how to get share to show breadcrumbs by default?

If you startup Share and select the Repository view there is a small icon that allows you to enable breadcrumbs view. I actually want this switched on by default so the user has to disable it if they DON'T want it shown.

Hello,

I don't know which version of Alfresco / Share you're running, but I've found that breadcrumbs are already the default in all my installations.
Essentially, breadcrumbs are preference driven. You can default any preference based configuration by bootstrapping the user preference object whenever a new user is created.

I am running Alfresco 4.1 (the not released version)

Anyway, I didn't understand how you managed to get breadcrumbs on by default for your users (by boostrapping the user preferences) as I cannot find any option to enable this when creating a new user.

this is not available as an option - my suggestion would be a customization that needs implementing. And to be clear: I did not need it as breadcrumbs are on by default in all version of Alfresco that I've used - but I have not yet tested any nightly build of 4.1

I was thinking that I would have to implement it myself. No real bother but it would have been easier to have it as an option either global or by user.

I can't remember what the default ws in the earlier 3.4.d version but we didn't realy use Share at the time, just the Alfresco repository.
