I retested using the powertoys template and it worked fine. Looks like this solved the problem. I will do some more testing later on today and let you know how it went.
Are there any plans to add an upload feature from a locally stored file when you create a site? Or more generally, what is the best practice to package and distribute a template and site when you have created one?
Tx,
D.

During the creation of a new site I have no access to " Based one the following: ". Indeed I have one small wheel which turns on the right but nothing takes place. It's as if there was no synchronization.
Somebody has already had problem.

I experiencing the same problems here. I installed Alfresco 3 stable in an ubuntu 8.10 with mysql database.
I tried to configure LDAP + CIFS with no sucess, but that's another story. The Alfresco is only working with LDAP and I have ftp server disabled.
Now I'm testing Alfresco Web Studio, but I can't access to the default sites, the ones that we can create new sites based on. if I access to https://network.alfresco.com/service/webstudio/sites from browser I get the result:
{ "results": { "quickstart": { "title": "Web Studio Quick Start", "description": "Web Studio Quick Start", "previewImageUrl": "https://network.alfresco.com/extranet/proxy/alfresco-noauth/api/path/content/workspace/SpacesStore/C...", "archiveUrl": "https://network.alfresco.com/extranet/proxy/alfresco-noauth/api/path/content/workspace/SpacesStore/C..." } , "powertoys": { "title": "Power Toys - Sample", "description": "Power Toys - Sample", "previewImageUrl": "https://network.alfresco.com/extranet/proxy/alfresco-noauth/api/path/content/workspace/SpacesStore/C...", "archiveUrl": "https://network.alfresco.com/extranet/proxy/alfresco-noauth/api/path/content/workspace/SpacesStore/C..." } , "greenenergy": { "title": "Green Energy - Sample ", "description": "Green Energy - Sample", "previewImageUrl": "https://network.alfresco.com/extranet/proxy/alfresco-noauth/api/path/content/workspace/SpacesStore/C...", "archiveUrl": "https://network.alfresco.com/extranet/proxy/alfresco-noauth/api/path/content/workspace/SpacesStore/C..." } } }
And that is ok… If I access to https://network.alfresco.com/extranet/proxy/alfresco-noauth/api/path/content/workspace/SpacesStore/C... from browser a file appear for download, so its ok too.
But when I use Web studio, I can't see content in the area 'Based on the following:'. I loading continue infinitely and nothing appear!
What's the problem? I think that the firewall it's not the problem cause I can access then from browser…
Any of you had this problems?
Please help. Thanks
Luis

I have also problems with Firefox 3.0.8
I can create a simple Project, also based on "Green Energy" for example.
But when I later try to fill a HTML Component into a Header Region, then after saving the Region, gets lost!
So, I think there is a bug with Alfresco and Firefox.
When I try the same with Internet Explorer it works fine.
Best regards,
Sven

I forget to tell that, despite the fact I can't see the sites we can create a new project based on, I can create a new empty project.
About the html component, I experienced the same problem. After add some html component (and save it), the area just disappear.
In opera I can't either create a project based on one of the available sites by default. But about the html content, works just fine!
thanks,
Luis
