How can i uninstall Microsoft Office 2007 and just go back to my original 2003? Hi, yesterday i installed Microsoft Office 2007 and since then my Outlook is no longer working properly. (I'm using an office computer and don't know much about how the office server is set up.) I would like to get back to my 2003 version but i also don't have the CD for 2003. Is there a way i can do this?

These forums are for discussing the Alfresco Enterprise Content Management product. You need to find a Microsoft Office support forum.

Having said that, I'm pretty sure you're completely out of luck unless you've got the Office 2003 install CD.

Thanks,

I have gotten the Office Add-in to work in Excel 2007, but not in Word 2007.  The Alfresco window never opens and I can't find any custom button to push anywhere to show it.  Anyone know the secret?

I also have to comment that the Office 2007 integration with SharePoint is seamless and powerful.  Contrary to the comment in the Wiki there is no problem saving documents.  Which brings me to my next question; Where is the source code for the office add-in?  Being a developer, I naturally believe that I can make it work better (at least) than it does now, but I can't find the source anywhere.  Is this not a part of the Open Source?

It's the same install mechanism across Word, Excel and PowerPoint so I'm not sure why you're seeing the add-in in one and not the other. Did you definitely use the 3-in-1 installer and not just the Excel one? (Just to be sure…!). Office 2007 automatically adds a custom toolbar for add-ins, so this might be hidden for some reason in your copy of Word.

All the source is in SVN. Look in projects/extensions/AlfrescoOffice2003. You'll also find the beginnings of the Office 2007-specific add-ins, but these were mothballed as the 2003 add-ins work ok.

By the way, if you fire-up the .NET project and are prompted for a password, this is simply "alfresco" - it's needed as part of the VSTO code.

If you are able to make improvements (or indeed carry on the work started with the 2007 versions) please try to contribute back.

Thanks,
Mike

Thanks Mike,

Yes I did install the all-in-one package and I could see the Alfresco add-in in the list of active add-ins, but there was no custom toolbar and the add-in did not start up automatically as advertised.  I finally did get it going after trying to install the standalone Word-only package.  The setup failed, but afterward the custom toolbar showed up.  Go figure.

Thanks for the pointer to the source.  If I have any success you will be sure to hear about it.

choose the right version for your installation. and its better to use 3-in-1 installation instead of individuals. And after installing don't forget to activate these add-ins in word/powerpoint/excel. Make sure that installation is done properly or not.
It is working greatly for me.. My configurations are,

OS: windows XP
Alfresco: Labs 3.0 stable
MS-office 2007

office addin: I have been installed office addin-3.0 available at http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Labs_3_Final_download_files

Note: Office Add-In 3.2 also should work with labs 3.0,3.1, 3.2
