I think Alfresco and Nuxeo have some interesting common aspects.
Do the Alfresco Team have interest in the integration with Nuxeo?

I would say Nuxeo should thing to integrate with Alfresco.

Nuxeo is based on external JCR. They plan to use Jackrabbit, but it does not scale for enterprise. They ought to use Alfresco, if they want good performance.
