this is my first post.
I'm a Solution Architect from an Italian big SI.
We are really interested in Alfresco as an alternative to MS Sharepoint, to be used in complex offers regarding Knowledge Management issues (using Alfresco as the ECM to build Knowledge Systems on).
We are working on Alfresco Community Edition since Three Months evaluating the software and implementing scenarios and demonstrations.
Yesterday, while i was checking in deep the possibilities offered by becoming an Alfresco Partner, I read this (about Alfresco Enterprise Network):
Certified Partner Support:
Only Certified Alfresco Partners are allowed to deliver the Alfresco Enterprise Network. They can offer Level 1 Support, Consulting, Integration or Training.
Now, my question is:
Do we need to become a partner to include Alfresco Ent. Network as a component of a more complex offering?
We are also considering to get a partnership after finding concrete market opportunities (e.g: one prospect) but we're afraid to excessively increase our time to market (for example to achieve partnership related certifications).
That's crucial imho.
