Alfresco Mobile

Did anyone succeed in installing and configuring Alfresco Mobile?

I did a standard install of community edition 3.2. I can access the mobile page (not from an iPhone though, because we have nokia's ). I can log in as a user.

But when I click the sites button notting happens. And when I click the search an error occurs.

I used safari windows and changed the user agent to "iphone".

It appeared the application was incomplete….

more over, you could only brows the document library of a site you already had permissions to. 

no create site,
no manage site,
no calendar,
etc…

but, for what seemed to be finished it worked alright.

Does this mean that one will only be able to access the application from an iPhone? Seems strange to limit access to one platform.

Since the IPod touch uses mobile Safari, it should work too….

I don't know what platforms work but i would guess they simply started with mobile safari and the Mobile app is a "Hey, this is coming down the pipe" more than a finished app

Make sure you're browsing to /mobile/p, instead of /share or /alfresco.

It works for me, but yeah, it's limited, and very buggy at the moment… for example, when you browse to a site, it doesn't actually let you go into the site. If you tap on the site to enter it, it simply highlights the site, and when you tap it again, you're taken to a blank page.

So obviously it's in its infancy.

Actually, the mobile client used to work but when I uninstalled and re-installed Alfresco,I can't browse to a site as markdaniel say.

Does somebody knows why?

Steph, did you do a full reïnstall or only certain amps?

Hi I did a new install but it doesn't seem to work
