Alfresco Installation Details

Hi Guru's,

I am very new to alfresco, currently I have installed alfresco-community-4.2.b-installer-win-x32 in my system, my system configuration is window XP (32 bit).

Requirement:
I want to configure alfresco in my system to act like server, so that others can access as client. Kindly help me to do this configuration, Please let me know if, I have missed out any inputs. Your help is highly appreciated!

Hi.

What kind of problem do you have?
When you try to connect from another computer, what happens?

You are are unable to connect to Alfresco, you could try to disable the windows firewall, or maybe create a config that allows it to open the port 8080 (if it's the port you chose Tomcat to use)

Akshay you can simply install Alfresco on your machine.
Start Alfresco server.
Other machine which are within same intranet if you are able to access you machine through those machines you will also be able to access alfresco instance running on you machine.
URL will be : http://<yourmachineIP>:8080/alfresco
