I've been working with IBM Content Manager for a while and I'm interested in how Alfresco compares to CM.

First of all, thanks to the Alfresco Team for the great job!

Are there any other IBM Content Manager Users / Administrators / Developers around here? I'd be interested in sharing experience, too.

We are in the process of evaluating Alfresco. Currently, I am looking into how to map data model concepts / ideas between the two repositories.

Also, I'd be interested in some performance comparison figures.

Anybody else looking into the same area?

If you want to get performance figures, I'd suggest doing it on the impending 1.4 release - it's a lot faster with large repositories.

If you want to compare it with another JSR-170 implementation, or just Alfresco native performance, you can use the Benchmark suite that's downloadable from Alfresco at SourceForge.

We will be releasing some benchmark figures soon.
