Alfresco Explorer Surf Based alternative vs JSF client

Is there a roadmap for delivering a separate surf based Alfresco ECM/WCM client (new Alfresco Explorer) as an alternative to the JSF Alfresco Explorer?
It would be nice to be able to customize this alternative Alfresco Explorer through WebStudio and deploy it as any (Surf) site.
Or is the intention that Share will have all the components to build a share site that is equivalent in functionality to the current JSF Alfresco Explorer?

I will await the final version of Labs 3.2 to see if it includes a Surf based Alfresco Explorer besides (as an alternative to) the JSF based one.

Share is the Surf-based replacement, but will be catching up with all the features available in the Explorer (JSF) client for a little while.
