I just read the book and also found it very useful. Especially if you're just starting with Alfresco and if you can't find your way through all he wiki's and tutorials, then this book is for you. It shows step by step how to do a basic set up and configuration of Alfresco.

It covers version 1.4.  It doesn't cover web content management and records management.  My observation and use of this excellent book is that it is entirely relevant for setting up and configuring v2.0.

I totally agree with Dnind: fine and very usefull book!
furthermore I expect that current users/buyers will get a copy of an update when available for free. That's pretty common in 'digitalbook'-world.
But.. also if that wóuldn't happen, i don't regret for a second having bought the copy I own.
Cheers,
Peter

Very useful book, plus I received it here in Vietnam in less than 10 days.

The book definitely makes for a good Alfresco "primer".  Logical flow with lots of step-by-step examples, and sample code you can download separately.  One minor thing: it was published before WCM… so there's no info on that.

Good thing there's a great tutorial as part of that module:
