Alfresco as Web Service Repository

Hi,

I am currently evaluating various web service repositories and ask myself whether Alfresco would also be a possibility? We have plans to support both SOAP and RESTful services. We require to upload WSDLs and XML schema as well as MS Office based documentation. Simple look ups like return the schema for a given namespace would also be required.

Yes Alfresco would be a possibility however it may be a "sledgehammer crack a nut".    

If your requirement is very strict for example a namespace has a particular schema and a particular word document then perhaps you don't need a document repository in the first place?
