We are upgrading to Alfresco 4.0 but i dont have idea which is the most stable out of 4.0a,4.0b,etc
The requirements are that we need to do clustering(HA), without content replication.

I have gone through the docs,it has a very good documentation. But i cannot decide which method to opt for clustering out of EHCache,JGroups or JLAN.

The environment i have is
RHEL 6.1,
Alfresco 4.0(to be decided,the target)
PostgreSQL
2 Physical boxes to be clustered in HA mode(without content replication).
Tomcat(default)

I think your only choice for Community is EHCache.

AFAIK JGroups is Enterprise Only and JLAN's Hazelcast cluster is for its own use.

It says that it cannot be clustered.

That forums link says *4.2* cannot be clustered.  4.0 still has clustering support and as mrogers says, you'll need to use EHCache.  The other options are not available for CE.
