Adding first user mystery

I have just installed the labs 3b setup and cannot find a simple button to add a user. I also cannot find any documentation on this anywhere. I'm starting to suspect my install may not quite be right. Could someone give a simple pointer as to how to add users on a fresh 3b install? I get no errors right now and I can log into the admin account. I've successfully changed the password as well so I'm not entirely hopeless.

Go to the Alfresco Explorer (/alfresco - just in case you're looking for this in Share…), login as admin, go to the admin console (icon at the top of the screen near the middle) and it's an option on there.

Thanks,
Mike

And, of course, my problem is that Alfresco isn't working, just share. Back to the drawing board. You may want to set out a section on the wiki for simple use cases for beginners.

The Repository must be working in order for you to log in to Share - as that's where all the authentication happens (as well as the configuration for Share).

What do you get when you browse to http://[server]/alfresco instead of http://[server]/share ?

I did a complete ground up reinstall, solved my problem. I had been mixing rpm repositories with yum which is not, it turns out, a good idea.
