Activiti 5.9 release date

Hey everybody.

The 5.9 release is scheduled for 1st of February. Currently we start to develop a couple of new BPMN elements as sponsored development. We want to include them in 5.9, since it would make it a pretty interesting release, till now we have only a couple of issues fixed, nothing very exiting to release. Hence we postpone the release to 1st of march, but then it comes with a couple of new BPMN elements 🙂

If anybody has a good reason against this, please response to this post.

I wish we could see at least 1 of the below incorporated into the 5.9 release

1. Pluggable JobExecutor (Spring task executors preferably):

Hi Sazzadul.

Actually not "two", but a couple of 🙂 Besides some refactorings/improvements of the JobExecutor (yes pangea, it will be easer pluggable as well, but you can exchange it now already) and some internal stuff for BPMN it will be basically "Trigger BPMN Error Events from Java Delegate", "Error Event Sub-Process" and "Multiple Start Events". But best is to watch the JIRA, for all features we will have Issues there assigned to the correct version.

And please do not use this forum thread to discuss scoping of 5.9 or new releases, this post was meant to check if any has serious problems with postponing the release 🙂

Let's go ahead and postpone the release as you mention, Bernd.
Would be great to have those two features in.
