Access 'My Files' in Alfresco Mobile on iOS?

Hello,

Has anyone been able to access Alfresco 4.2's "My Files" from the native mobile Alfresco app on iOS? We are able to see "My Files" on the Android app… but no luck on the Apple app(s).

Any suggestion please? We have a large client with thousands of employees who need this functionality…

Thanks.

Hi

It's not directly supported in the 1.5.3 iOS app, but will be in 2.0 to be released a little later this year.

You can however still get to the files by switching on Company Home in settings and then browsing to the User Homes folder.

Thanks,
Mike

Thanks for the update and the tip.

One problem: By turning on "Company Home", it also gives end-users access to many folders which will be confusing. If we change the permissions of those folders (e.g. Data Dictionary, Guest Home, Imap Attachments, IMAP Home, and Shared) to be hidden from non-admin users, will that cause problems? I am worried by doing so, workflows that depend on templates in the Data Dictionary might not work for that user for example.

(By the way, we are not using the "Shared" folder on purpose for the moment, that is why I lumped it into the folders that we want to hide).

Thanks a lot for your help.

Yep, there's no way around that unfortunately. You may be able to hide some of the folders, but definitely not Data Dictionary.

Thanks,
Mike

Ok, thanks for the information. We'll work with what you've suggested, and hope for version 2 to be released in good time.
