An instance of alfresco contains many content stores.    A different instance of alfresco, by definition has different content stores.

Hi Rogers,

Different instances have configured with different content stores but is it possible to configure a single content store with two instances of alfresco i.e. both instances pointing to single content store.

Regards,
Naveen.

From what I understand ;
If you use the /share interface, which can run on multiple Tomcat instances, you can have them point to the same Repository/store.
The /alfresco interface (explorer?) is embedded in the alfresco code so can probably only read/manage one Repository.

I hope someone corrects me if that is incorrect.

As I said above the instance defines the store (s).  So no its not possible.  In fact the question does not make sense.

In a clustered alfresco instance each cluster node has the same stores.

There may be some broken cluster configurations possible that share either the database and or some of the content.  However 4.2 Enterprise will detect a broken cluster and
Community 4.2 doesn't cluster.

Thanks Roger for your inputs…
