Hello.
First of all, I want to say sorry if that is not the right forum to ask this question, but a lot of people visit it and I relly hope someone can answer my question.

I recently started getting annoying pop ups. It says something like ad.yieldmanager or similar. Does anyone have an idea where they came from and how to stop them from showing?
Thanks a lot in advance and sorry again if this is the wrong place.

Hi,
try to use products like SpyBot http://www.safer-networking.org/ which is free for private use.
You're likely to have some malware or ad.

Thank you.
I actuallly found a removal guide yesterday and it helped me http://www.americanpendulum.com/2013/10/03/ad-yieldmanager-com-removal-guide/

However, the manual removal wasn't enough. I had to search for a good antimalware program. I read a lot of good reviews about http://www.malwarebytes.org and it also has a free version, so I decided to use this one.
A friend of mine told me to better have an antivirus program also, so I had to do another searching and I chose http://www.avast.com

I really hope they manage to keep my computer safe from those kinds of infections.
Thanks again for helping Smiley Happy
