Upcoming document expiration notification

How to set email notification of upcoming expired document (let's say a 3 year contract leased document), 1 month before it expired?

If you are experienced in programming you can try to create your event listener: http://doc.nuxeo.com/display/NXDOC56/Events+and+Listeners

and then the listener should be periodicaly called from scheduler: http://doc.nuxeo.com/display/NXDOC56/Scheduling+periodic+events

The listener have to check documents and - if necessary - send a mail to users.
