Is there a way to use structure templates for the private workspace?

When you talk about private workspace, you mean user workspace (access from the user drop down list)?

yes I mean that. Anyways I found a workarround using automation chains.

I used an automation chain to create the folders I needed. This AC was executed when the workspace is created.
