I configure a multiDirectory (LDAP + localDB) and shibboleth authentification in my Nuxeo 5.8 instance (with security HF1)
When I search user, I get a result with more than 200 responses (including the good one)
I looked at ldap traces and found 2 requests for the string search. The first one is followed by the good response and the second one with all the responses (limited by an limit siez message)
