ldap configuration through the web interface

Hi,

I'm trying to configurate my nuxeo platform to use ldap. I've been trying in admin/configuration, and then by changing the field Annuaire to SQL and LDAP, I've been told to restart the server then. But the parameter changes automaticly to sql only again. I read on internet to create an xml file, so I wonder what is the interface for ? When I try to create xml file, I get different kind of errors, on which I'm working hard now ...

Hi,

Actually, by default in your nuxeo.conf there is the parameter "nuxeo.force.generation=true" that will enable the platform to generate every startup the default configuration files. Since the 6.0, the setup wizard (http://doc.nuxeo.com/x/PwA7) at the first startup will guide you to provide required information for the LDAP directory and then automatically generate the right configuration files for you. At the "Users & Groups" step, select "LDAP" and fill the required fields.

Hi,

Thank you for this answer. I hesitate before launching the wizard again since my configuration is done and working, except for the ldap. And I'm confused with nuxeo.conf and the xml files in the config directories. It seems to me that they contain the some datas in common, and I don't find which one are important. Still I don't know if I can put nuxeo.force.generation=false into Nuxeo and modify the nuxeo.conf file on my own ? Will it be read by Nuxeo ?
