Our users would like to optionally version a document as part of its creation in the Web UI. This would be similar to the behavior of the CMIS createDocument operation. Currently, our users who want to establish a major version upon creation (like the default CMIS createDocument behavior) must first create the document, then edit it, then select the Increment major version option on the versioning widget, and then save the version.
How about adding a variant of the versioning widget to the create form with options: "Skip version establishment", "Establish minor version", "Establish major version"? The default would be "Skip version establishment" as is done currently. Thoughts?
