How can I configure offline mode?

I've downloaded both 5.5 distribution, online and offline tomcat ones. I can't find where offline mode must be configured, and no documentation is availlable on this mode.

There is no "offline mode". It's a fully autonomous distribution, embedding required packages to allow the wizard running without Internet connection.
The "online" distribution is lighter because downloading those requirements, depending on your modules' selection in the startup wizard.
