Managing complex assets for most organizations is a struggle. As more and more content flows into your organization, while you create additional digital content internally, the need for user-friendly digital asset management software becomes even more critical.
That’s why Hyland is continuously innovating new features and improving on existing features for the Nuxeo Platform. This ensures our Nuxeo customers and end users continue to have highly satisfying experiences while improving efficiencies in developing and managing revenue-generating assets.
With that said, we are excited to share three new features available in the forthcoming release. These include Compound Documents, Content Redaction, and Append Values with Bulk Edit.
1. Compound Documents: Manage complex documents and files with ease
Organizations are trending towards using modern files including 3D, complex videos, and complex layouts. To create a better user experience, Hyland has added the Compound Documents feature.
With it, users create a parent/child type model which allows the compound document to pull in — and be associated with — interrelated documents, content, or images. Users can upload, preview, and navigate documents inside the Compound Document function.

- Empowers IT to implement Compound Documents right out of the box instead of having to write custom scripts
- Reduces time and effort spent associating files with one another
- Provides an incentive for organizations to increase usage of next-gen content
2. Content Redaction: Protect sensitive information while managing case files
The ability to redact information in a document is critical for case management and document management professionals. Hyland’s Nuxeo Platform now offers the ability to temporarily redact or permanently redact sensitive information like social security number, date of birth, name, address, etc.
Benefits include:
- Minimized risk of PII getting into the wrong hands
- Improved collaboration across the organization while keeping sensitive information discreet
- Enhanced security to protect personal data indefinitely
3. Append Values with Bulk Edit: Amend multivalued properties more easier (based on customer feedback)
As customers shared their experiences with the Hyland Nuxeo Platform bulk edit feature, we realized we needed to make some improvements. Thanks for helping us make it better!
A prior limitation was the inability to add or amend multivalued properties without deleting them first. The new Append Values with Bulk Edit feature allows for more options. Users can now append, add, or remove quicker and easier.

- Improved user experience when working with multivalued properties
- Time savings
- Increased accuracy with reduced manual removal and entry
