Wrong sort-sequence of version numbers in version history

If you sort the version history along the version (e.g. 12 numbers, release 1.0, 1.1, … , 1.11, possible sort fields are "Version"(=Release), "Notizen"(=Remarks), "Autor"(=Author), "Datum"(=Date), …) you will get a wrong sequence of versions: 1.0, 1.1, 1.10, 1.11, 1.2, … 1.9 .

Perhaps this is already known?

It is known but unfortunately is a side to effect of ordering by version label, see: http://issues.alfresco.com/browse/AWC-646
