WORKFLOW -- web services

Hi ,

I could not find this information, so this question.
Can someone please confirm if workflow is exposed as web service in  full capacity.

What we would like to do is, use the workflow including starting and transitions through other interface and not Alfresco.

Please let me know if my question is not clear.

We don't have an explicit workflow web service.

However, you could either:

a) write actions for each part of the workflow service you wish to expose and invoke those via the action web service

b) or, if you don't mind using http direct (rather than via soap), you can expose workflow services via web scripts (http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Web_Scripts)

Can I create a simple workflow using a WebService, If Yes, is there a sample (java) code available for the same ?
