HI All
I am trying out  alfresco 3.4.c on Linux server, I have my clients all on MS Windows user. I had tried out windows explorer integration. What I have in mind is that my Alfresco Work Space should be shown as Directory in windows explorer, I should be able to drag and drop to the repository. I had seen this feature in oracle UCM , where I could install a client on windows OS and have this feature

I searched the wiki and I had found this link "http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Category:Windows_Integration"

Also I had tried  by running  \\myserverip\Alfresco; Here I could see the repository folders, where each folders shows some file (" _CechingOut, _ShowDetails, _Alfresco ), A normal user should not be seeing this file , Also If I try to create or paste files in to this folder I get permission denied messages

Is there a better way of windows explorer integration

I had tired the url
"http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Client_WebDAV"
Adding files via WebDav you will need to create a link on your Windows (Xp) machine to do this bring up your Windows Explorer go to "My Network Places" and click on "Add Network Place" at the screen that asks "where do you want to create this network place?" select "Choose another network location" add the url of the webdav server
e.g. http://servername:8080/alfresco/webdav
I did not work for me one one machine
Later I tried out in another XP machine and it is working. I have to check now the permission and how the user can copy and paste to the folder
This feature is cool

I am looking for any installation file for integration with alfresco and windows explorer.
I want to integrate easiliy, so I need some installation file and guide on the my local PC.
Is there any files to make alfresco and windows explorer integrated?
I know there is some ways to integrate it, such as WebDAV, CIFS.
However, I want more easier way for end-users. Please let me know if there is some.

Thanks.

What do you mean by easier?    Mounting alfresco as a shared drive is as simple as it gets.   How could it be "simpler"?

You may also want to look at one of the other integration tools like Fred.

I'm interested too but I need to understand how manage properties/aspects when the repository is mounted as a webdav disk drive.
Could You suggest a solution ?
