Where is *the real* alfresco-src-1.3.zip ?

It was there for every release ( ie. alfresco-src-1.2.1.zip). As there's no method to get it from svn,  would you please just put it there? This is just throwing stones in the path of a contributor…

Tom

I am not sure if you are looking for this. Try it.

As far as i understand this zip contains the sources of:
Alfresco 1.3 Community Preview from (2006-05-13 11:50)

The 1.3 release is:
Alfresco 1.3.0 from (2006-06-26 19:20)

Thats what sourceforge says. So we have a release 1.3 of open source alfresco without real sources. Thats's because they killed the old cat (=pre  1.3 repository) and the new one doesn't know anything about the release 1.3 (see other posts in this forum). Why this gap? Someone with alfresco should have the source - or was it virgin birth?

Hi

Not wierd 🙂

There's the SDK bundle and SVN access.  It got to the point where managing loads of different bundles was becoming a pain.  People were taking the src and trying to use it like an SDK and complaining - so we decided that making an SDK bundle with samples and examples was important.  People also kept fussing for SVN access, so we created a public mirror.

We had some issues with the mirroring, so I need to check what is actually available.  If 1.3 isn't recoverable easily via SVN, then I'll get a src bundle made up and put on SourceForge this time.

Cheers
Paul.

Hello Paul,

i saw that you put the source of core, repository etc as archives in the SDK. So the source seems to be there! What lacks are the (importable) eclipse projects, and i am not sure if or how they can be reconstructed..

What about putting the eclipse projects in the SDK too? Then we could use the availabe jars or change them, just as needed (and you don't have to produce the extra distribution)

regards,

Tom

ps: I really appreciate your product and effort. I worked  many years introducing and maintaining DMS and quit consulting because of the amateurish behaviour of many dms software producers. Alfresco (already) surpassed some of them.

Hi paulhh,

Are you planning to upload the alfresco 1.3.0 src zip on sourceforge anytime soon? Looking forward to download it.

Hi

From a quick look at things, there's the source in the SDK and the Eclipse project files that can be pulled from SVN should work.  So I'm not in a hurry to do more work while we're trying to get the 1.4 functionality done - we've bitten off a lot of work as usual 🙂

Cheers
Paul.
