Company Home is the "root" for all documents in your company. Its got important contents like the data dictionary.
"My Home" is your home, i.e. the home for the user who is currently logged on. It will typically have permissions to allow the current user to add content, but no others.
Normaly there is a relationship between company home and "my home".
