Usually if you can't not log in with a user name and password you know are correct it has to do with a database problem. I've run into this several times myself.
What method did you install alfresco? Bin installer or from source? How have you done your setup?
The default login credentials are admin/admin Another cause could be the SSL certificate. Alfresco allows you to create your own certificate but sometimes it doesn't work correctly and in this case you can use Apache SSL connection. Or try using different browsers, Internet Explorer, Firefox etc. Or try to ping for connectivity from Workstation to server or from server to workstation. Having the same issue but I installed manually from WAR files so I was never asked to setup a username or password. My initial issue was thath the Alfresco Service was not running. With that solved I can login through the Localhost:XXXX\alfresco using admin/admin but when I go to share it says the username and/or password is incorrect. Is there a xml files somewhere in the webserver/tomcat or webapps folder I could use to find the user name and pw it wants?
