What frameworks do i need to learn for development?

Hello there,

I have been into Alfresco for the last 2 3 weeks and I have to work almost on my own, so there is less help available around. I was curious that which framkeworks do I need to learn before I could jump into Alfresco development ( extension ). I am familiar with Spring, Hibernate. What else is necessary.

Hi,
none, if you use the SIDE-Labs open source project. It's a set of graphical tools so you can use them straight away. Everything from content model to webscripts and worlkflows are generated and deployed automatically on Alfresco.

If you know Spring and Hibernate, it will be easier to tune the final result and develop webscripts to perform adhoc operations.

It depends on what you want to do with Alfresco and which parts you want to modify.

You should be able to go a long way without modifying anything.

What sort of modifications do you think you may need to make?
