What APIs to delete a node?

Hi all.

Suppose I want to delete a node using its own uuid.

How many ways can I perform this task? A part from Web Services APIs (CMLDelete) that seem not to work well (please take  look at http://forums.alfresco.com/viewtopic.php?t=4233&highlight=delete+folder) is there any other way to delete a node?

What is the best, most efficient and most quick way?
