Web Quick Start content and Deployment Receiver

Hi All,
I am new to WCM Quick Start but I have earlier used  web projects using WCM configured through AVM.
In that I had configured File System receiver which helped me to get contents which are updated in web projects on to my local machine file system.
Can I do some thing similar in web quick start.
