Web-based Content Indexer?

I'm just now evaluating Alfresco and I'm wondering if there exists a simple Web-based viewer available that can be used to display an image and edit its properties.   This might be something similar to the document details / properties / edit panel but would also display the content side by side.

You might want to look at this Forge project that provide the IPTC and EXIF metadata extraction and editing for image files. http://forge.alfresco.com/projects/iptc-exif/

I'd have to install it to know if this would do the trick, thanks for the suggestion.  Can you quickly tell me whether it supports domain-specific indexes, not just standard image metadata?  For example, we might need to attach an account ID or due date…
