Web Application Firewall that works with Alfresco?

Hi everyone,

I am looking to purchase a web application firewall appliance for my alfresco server. Any that is good and work with alfresco? Probably not too expensive.

Any tips for me? Thank you.

Hello,

Are you only using the HTTP-based interfaces of Alfresco? Are you using the CIFS / SMB or IMAP protocols with Alfresco? If so, a web application firewall may be insufficient as it only protects a segment of your systems public interfaces.

Product-wise, I can offer no tips / suggestions…

Right now HTTP, but am interested to look at the protocols you mentioned earlier. No web firewall can protects that?

Hello,

I don't know of any web application firewall that supports the majority of other protocols required for Alfresco. Then again, I am not a subject matter expert for firewalls and some products that claim to be web application firewalls in brochures / most of their advertisment text are actually network security solutions (i.e. F5 BigIP ASM).

F5 probably a better NLB not web firewall, plus F5 is super expensive!

My point exactly - but some of the customers I've encountered mean F5 when they talk web firewall.
