viewing documents in firefox

I am currently using alfresco through my firefox browser (v14.0.1) and I currently don't have the option to scroll through a document on the screen when I select it, but when I access through IE I can.  Does anyone know why this is?

alfresco client is running on a linux box (Not sure version etc as I am not the sys admin) and i am using a win 7 machine to access

So the scroll bars are missing for the Flash preview of the Word Document? Does it have the Maximize, Zoom, and page turning buttons?

What is the version of the flash player on the affected client? Do they have problems with other flash sites?
