Versioning lost when copy & paste

Hi,

Still evaluation Alfresco Enterprise 1.1.2 here.

When I copy & paste a versioned document from one space to another, using the web GUI, it seems that all the versioning metadata is lost. This works fine when I cut & paste.

1. Copy a versioned document
2. Navigate to a different space
3. Paste the document and check the versioning details

Can anyone confirm this? Searched in the JIRA and the Forum but could find any references to this problem.

I can confirm this behaviour, but I think it might be intentional.
As far as I'm concerned, I like this behaviour: it's the only actual way, in the web-interface, to remove the version trail from a document.

By the way, Alfresco people: we really need a way to to remove specific versions from a file (think about large binary files uploaded as a version by mistake).
