Version History within document library not consistent

I note some Alfresco files in our document library have Version History appear in the Detail panes, others don’t -- only the Document Actions, Properties, and Sync panes are displayed.  Suggestions to fix?  We need the Version History to appear whenever a document icon is clicked.  Thanks!

Is there anything specific about the files that you're viewing? For example are any of them locked / checked out? Is this always in the same detail panel, i.e. always accessed from the same site (or repository browser, my files browser or shared files browser)?

Also, what version of Alfresco are you experiencing this problem on?

Did some digging.  Appears that Version History works correctly in one Alfresco site, but not at all in another site (I originally thought it was spurious error within a single site).  So I'm led to believe it's a setting somewhere for a given document library or site?

Also, how do I check what version of Alfresco I am using?

Thanks!

If you click on the Alfresco logo on the footer of any page it will give you all the information about the version you're using.

We don't have the Alfresco logo on any page footers in the document library, so we must have a custom install.  Is there another method?

OK... if you have a custom installation then this could be quite tricky. Do you have Administrator privileges for the installation? Do you have no information about who installed it or what customizations have been applied?

Hi Dave,

I found the version information on another internal site; here it is:

Alfresco version info

Does this help?  -Howard
