Is it possible to create a branch in the version history?

Alfresco is currently working on substantial enhancement to its versioning model to support change sets, snapshoting, rollback, branching, merging, and a new exciting capability called layering.  These enhancements of being made to better support web content development activities.

Hello,

   When do you think these enhancement to the versionning model will be available? 

     It doesn't only concern web content management.  Will we have to wait until end 2006 to obtain the branching in versionning for the enterprise content?
