Hi.
I successfully installed Alfresco Comuunity edition 2.0 on my machine as per the instructions in the installation guide. However, when I go to the URL:
http://localhost:8080/alfresco

I am automatically logged in as a guest with only two options:
1- My Alfresco
2- My Home

There's no 'My Company', 'Data Dictionary', etc.
And I never get a chance to login as the admin user. At this stage, Alfresco seems completely useless. Is there something else I need to do? How can I fix this problem?
Please help me out as I really want to try out Alfresco.

Thanks.

Shakeel.

Do you get a login link (top right of page)?

yes. But can't login from that page using either admin or even guest as I don't even know the passwords.

The admin password is "admin".

Thanks dozyarmadillo.
Now I can login as admin. However it would be better if I would get the login screen when I type the URL:

http://localhost:8080/alfresco

Any idea how to do this?

Thanks again.

Shakeel.

Yes you can disable the Guest user,  see my reply about half way down this thread:
