Using Alfresco !!!

Hi,
I am doing a small Reserch on Alfresco and eager to get guidance on the following.
Can an please guide me how to go about,starting with installation,files needed and where and what kind of code has to written,it would be very helpfull.

Futher,i want to know its usage with .NET.
The functionality which i am looking is Versioning,Intergration and CRUD operation.

I'm new to it as well but I would suggest starting in the installation forums. 
Was was able to get it up and running on my vmware solaris 10 instance using oracle 10g.
I don't think you will find everything in one place but from what I have read it is spread out across the wiki pages.
