Greetings

I have a question related the usage of activiti-explorer
Could you please help what is the best way to manage workflows:
- By using the module activiti-explorer ?
- Or by integrate the workflow inside a web java application.

The first approach seems to be the best from my point of view for several reasons:
- The workflow is managed independently from the application and it can be changed and re-deployed without re-compilation of the java application.
- In case of big traffic, the workflow engine and the application will not share the same memory.
- In case the scalability is be implemented, it can done separately.

Actually we are managing the workflow inside the application and we encounter a lot of performance problems and we are thinking about to put the workflow in the activiti-explorer.

Any suggestion/remark will much appreciated

Best Regards

Hi Abdeljalil,

Please refer to this link to user guide. http://activiti.org/userguide/index.html#activitiExplorer
It says its not for end user. Its only for demo purpose. So dont rely on activiti explorer for UI but build your own UI for your application.

Hi asriharikiran

Thanks for your quick answer

I was not talking about UI but I was talking about using activiti as standalone BPM Server (the job execution will be launched only in activiti-explorer, not in our application)
The activiti-explorer will be used only for supervision & administration activity (it may be customized for our need)
For the UI, it is already developed separately in our webapp application.

If it works for you, no problem. Just keep in mind it is for us really a demo application more than anything else.
